For example, the
stacking trays can be used as normal trays, when
used separately. However, when stacked into each
other, a new form is generated, that can be used
as larger tray or that works as an object in itself.
The service plates do not have a deepening on top,
but an entirely flat surface. Just the outer shell
is reminiscence to customary plates. The small side
table has a doubled top with an identical shape,
whereas the upper top can be taken off and used
as a tray.
You will experience
many more of these surprising functions and hidden
qualities. They are evidence of the high abilities
of ‘urushi’ craftsmen that made this perfection
and exactness of manufacturing possible.
To reach such
a high manufacturing quality it takes a very time-intensive
production process. Especially nowadays, where
our whole society is driven by speed and efficiency,
we are proud to offer you ‘Japan Lacquer Design’
with its inestimable value beyond times and generations.
